The Youth Intervention Centre is a service aimed at supporting young people and children aged 5-25 years old. We provide specialist and personalised interventions, support and counselling to help young people during times when they may be struggling.
We have a wide range of skills and experience working with a wide range of needs including:
Anxiety, depression, substance misuse, psychosis, suicidal thoughts, trauma, autistic spectrum conditions (ASC), anger and aggression, challenging behaviours, sensory processing disorder (SPD & SID), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), low self-worth or self-esteem, self harm, mental health issues and all other challenges and issues young people find themselves dealing with in the turbulent journey from childhood to adulthood.
As part of our counselling service not only do we offer 1:1 talking therapy but we also make use of a wide range of creative therapies including art, nature, sand, play and much more. As part of our intervention services we can offer a wide range of support such as mindfulness and meditation, lego therapy, social skills, anger management and mental health first aid. We can tailor intervention packages to suit the specific needs of the young person.
Training and consultation services can also be offered as needed by schools, professionals and other organisations.
