SPOTS (supporting people on the spectrum) is a voluntary, community-based organisation. It is set up and run by a group of parents and carers of children and young people on the Autistic Spectrum.
At SPOTs meetings, our aim is to provide an information base for families who have children with autism, either educated in specialist provision or in mainstream educational settings.
SPOTS provides support for chidlren and young people on the spectrum from early years through to transition to adulthood and adult services.
SPOTs has access to a number of speakers who attend meetings and provide specific information. This may be from Speech and Language therapy services, Specialist Dental care, the Kent Autistic Trust, Specialist Teaching Services and others.
Cognition and learning, Communication and Interaction, Sensory and/or physical development difficulties , Emotional, social & mental health difficulties.
Early years, Primary, Secondary, Post 16, Transition to adult services.
Community & Voluntary Sector Service, Information, Guidance & Advocacy Service .
