The Sheiling School is an independent residential school for children and young people aged 6-19 with special educational needs. We offer residential placements for termly and weekly boarders, day placements and short-term breaks.
Located on a beautiful estate in Thornbury, near Bristol, the Sheiling School aims to provide pupils with a holistic education within a safe, secure and well-supported environment. We have superb facilities and provide pupils with an excellent academic education, as well as a wide range of therapies.
The Sheiling School follows the Steiner Waldorf Curriculum. This includes all areas of the National Curriculum, but also includes therapies and encourages pupils to develop life and independence skills.
Sheiling School continues to be rated a 'Good' school following an Inspection by Ofsted in June 2017.
The Sheiling School, Thornbury, provides pupils with a safe, secure and nurturing home environment. We provide pupils with excellent care, nutritious meals and a wide range of leisure activities.
The Sheiling School offers a wide variety, including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and music therapy. Our qualified therapists work closely with care and teaching staff.
