Personalised Teaching is an independent specialist service for schools, children and families operating from a base in the London borough of Ealing and delivering services in neighbouring London boroughs.
Personalised Teaching offers daily specialist interventions and support for pupils who have learning difficulties or disabilities across a range of special educational needs, including –
Cognition and learning
Communication and interaction difficulties
Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
Requests for support can be made directly by schools or local authorities seeking provision for children at SEN Support or for those with an Education, Health & Care Plan, including those at risk or exclusion.
Interventions can help pupils make progress towards National Curriculum attainment targets for primary and secondary pupils.
Parents seeking specialist one to one tuition in their own home may also request support. In liaison with the child’s school and those managing SEND budgets, this support may be provided in the child’s educational setting.
Daily provision for pupils includes structured and personalised teaching plans, with a focus on listening and attention skills, communication and interaction skills. Sensory integration and sensory modulation activities are integrated as part of each child’s lesson plan dependent on needs. Support can be offered for bi-lingual pupil facing language barrier difficulties. Teaching methods follow a consistent approach to meet individual goals, needs and outcomes.
