Eden House and Eden School – Macclesfield

Eden School

Eden School is an independent school registered specifically for up to 8 pupils with:

At Eden School we offer children and young people a physically and emotionally safe learning environment, through an attachment informed curriculum, which is tailored to meet the individual needs of all pupils. The ethos at Eden School is to increase self-esteem, achievement and outcomes in preparation for adulthood. The school follows the National Curriculum and differentiates activities and information to support learning in line with pupils’ specific and individual needs. Where appropriate we provide expert help in the transitions to and from our school providing the necessary continuing support working closely with the school or college which they are attending.

The school also offers a wide range of commercial intervention programmes such as:

Pupils may also continue to access specialist support from outside agencies in line with their EHCP or Statement.

Eden School also benefits from being in the lovely relaxing rural grounds of Eden House, our small LD children’s home recently rated Outstanding by Ofsted. The peaceful surroundings allow us to deliver an all year-round curriculum focussed on discovering and exploring the outdoors.

Pupils at the school will have the opportunities to build dens, grow their own produce for cooking on the campfire or in the kitchen, and learn basic craft skills. Part of the daily curriculum will be to care for animals the pupils will choose at the beginning of the school year.
